An Ode to
Music Discovery

Using data as a mode to explore a topic of our choosing and in a format of our choosing, this project enabled the use of data visualization in an expressive and creative way. As someone who listens to music quite consistently and in a wide range of genres, I decided to explore the idea of music discovery. The way people find new music and new communities and/or connections through music discovery has always fascinated me, especially as someone growing up in the digital age having experienced music’s transition to streaming services.
